"Rearing" pups is a lot like raising kids; it’s
hard work and time consuming, but well worth the effort. Our
philosophy on puppy raising is simple, hands on. We start
with the Army’s Super Puppy Program. This program starts at
day three after birth and goes to day sixteen. Research has found
that pups that have gone through this program learn faster, are
more resilient to disease, and handle stress better.

Super Dog Program Day 4 |
Our pups are raised in the basement on a heated whelping nest.
At about week four they start to go outside for playtime and to
investigate the world.

Future Champs |
During the next several weeks they spend more time outside. We
have two large play areas for the puppies, one under roof and the
other a large grassy fenced area. My wife plays a big role in the
socialization process; there are very few days that she doesn’t
put the pups to sleep at night.
The females that we use for breeding are raised and trained here.
They have to show that they are proven performers in the field before
we consider using them. The males are also trained here. We look
for temperament, trainability, hunting desire, and nose in both
our males and females.
